Obituary of Nancy Kathleen McCowan
Died with dignity on Tuesday, March 24th, 2020; the end of a long, happy life where her devotion to family and close friends and her positive outlook touched all who knew her. An accomplished artist Nancy applied her creative talents in her career as an interior designer until she became a full-time homemaker. In her role as the best Mum and Grandma EVER, her family remember her as a competitive card shark, a wizard baker, a hole in one champion, and a never ending source of laughter. She always provided us with unconditional love and support. Those who knew Nancy were touched by her kind and generous spirit and her sweet smile. Nancy's strong and resilient spirit and her "get on with it" attitude will live on in her children: Ian McCowan (Karen), Sharon Lehman, Brian McCowan (Kim) and Janice McCowan; and grandchildren: Tara (Kevin), Heather, Austin and Joshua, and Matthew and Katie. Dear sister of Helen Bowen, sister-in-law of Terry McCowan and beloved aunt to Susan and Jim McCowan (Karen). Predeceased by her loving husband Les McCowan, her brother George and her sister Daphne. Plans for a celebration of life have been postponed. The family wish to express deep gratitude to the PSW's who provided compassionate care for Nancy in her final years at Extendicare London and the Manor Villages London.
