Venetta Hills

December 25, 2023

Venetta Hills passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, December 25, 2023 at the age of 50.

She will be deeply missed by many.  She was Don’s wife and best friend for over 30 years, a rockstar mother to Jenna and Blake.  An amazing daughter to Ron & Marian Smith, and a true friend and sister to Laurie (Jewel) Samadder.  She is fondly remembered by her father & mother-in-law Don & Joanne Hills, sister & brother-in-law Tanya & Chad Quanz, brothers-in-law Kyle, and Kent (Krystal) Pollock.  She was adored by many nieces and nephews, a tonne of cousins, the daycare families and dance studio families who had the privilege to know her.  Predeceased by her mother-in-law Marilyn Hills.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Venetta’s life will be announced later in the spring.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Venetta are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.

Don, So sorry to hear this. It's been a long tome since I worked with her at Color Your World or had a visit with her when she dropped in at the store for paint. All the best to you and the family.

Don, Jenna and Blake, We are very saddened to hear of Venetta’s passing. She was such a great caregiver for our daughter Kristen when we lived two doors down from you. Barry and I were able to go to work knowing she was safe and cared for, and had a playmate the same age in Blake. Jenna took care of her like an older sister. Sometimes when we came to pick Kristen up Vennetta would be in the park across the street just letting the children run around. One time when I picked Kristen up she announced to me that she had two mommys. Vennetta asked me if I was okay that Kristen called her mommy and I said that I was, and that it made it easier for me to go to work knowing that Kristen felt that way about her. Sending our sincere condolences. Barry, Lorrie, Kristen and Jordan Egerter
