To Adelaine and the family we extend our condolences. We cherished Ron as a friend and enjoyed his company at countless dances around London. We also enjoyed discussing Ron's and Adelaine's various travels and followed his advice when planning several of our own trips. Ron was a knowledgeable, friendly, generous and gentle man who will be missed. Richard and Rosemary Waring
Dear Adelaine, I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Ron. He had a wonderful sense of humour, and a twinkle in his eye when he laughed. He was always a pleasure to spend time with and I will miss seeing him, but will always remember him as the kind person that he was. I thoroughly enjoyed helping you with your travel plans. May many wonderful memories help you through this difficult time. With a hug, Lorraine Ball
I have kept all the amazing Christmas cards showing the world travels of Adelaine and Ron. When they were in London they often took in my bridge lessons at the mall. I loved hearing their stories and seeing their happy faces. Sincere condolences to Adelaine.

To all of Ron’s family my deepest condolences. I have so many fantastic memories of being at the cottage as a kid- Ron taught me to water ski behind that little blue tin boat! Also playing cribbage and fishing, and riding in the motor boat in the bow with Sarge. Ron will be greatly missed by our family. Sincerely, Sarah
I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Purdy. That is the name I always called him and met him around the age of Grade 8. Father to my dear friend Karen he was a wonderful man and very happy to be in the woods at his cottage -a place I have visited and enjoyed many times. He was witness to our teenage silliness and he was never one to judge. He welcomed me into his home at a very difficult time in my life for which I will be forever grateful. My deepest sympathy is extended to both Karen and David and their spouses and children. It is very painful to lose a parent and I wish you all peace and take comfort in your many memories of your wonderful dad. I am so very sorry for your loss.
May his caring soul fill the hearts of those who he has left behind. I will always remember his patience in teaching me new skills, such as water skiing, playing cards, driving the boat, and much more. His heart will never be forgotten. lots of love, Saffron
My condolences to Adelaine and Ron's extended family for your loss. The affable Ron I knew could enter a room, fit right in and know everyone when he left ! The Ron I knew, if he needed a new skill or to trouble shoot a problem, he learned it and solved it! Its been said that it's not what you do with your life, it's what you left behind ! Ron excelled at both and we will all miss him. He was my friend. Rest in peace. Greg Smith and Family
