Michele “Mike” Cinicolo

After a very long hard-fought journey with family by his side, at his residence on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Mike Cinicolo passed away at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Antoinette for 50 years. Loving father of Daniela and Tina and sons-in-law Giovanni and Jeff. Adored Nonno of Dalila, Riona, and Iliana. Mike will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends in Canada, Italy and around the world. Predeceased by his sister Carmelina and his parents Antonio and Donata.

Mike was coach, mentor, and a role model for many years with both men’s and women’s soccer teams in London. He was an avid soccer fan, auto body man, hunter, gardener and long-time devoted member of the Marconi and Curinga clubs.

Mike will be forever remembered for his big heart (and hands), hard work, generosity and dedication to his family, friends and soccer teams.

Friends will be received at Northview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Parish, 345 Lyle Street, London on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  followed by refreshments in the church hall.  As a tribute to Mike, please feel free to wear Azzurri Blue colours. Cremation to follow with inurnment at St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date.
Mike’s family wish to thank the staff at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, VON nurses, D. Baker at ReVibrancy, Victoria and University Hospitals and Saint Elizabeth – End of Life Care nurses and doctors for their exceptional care and support for Mike during his illness.
