Laura Anne Noble
March 1, 1962 - June 17, 2021
Passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 17, 2021. For the past 30 plus years, London was Laura’s home. Prior to retiring, Laura owned Noble Software Solutions for almost 20 years. She was an active member of Business and Professional Women (BPW) London chapter. She sat on the BPW Ontario board for over 10 years and on the BPW Canada Communications Committee for several years. Laura was awarded the BPW Leadership Award at both provincial and national levels as well as being named the BPW International Woman of the Week in 2010. Laura was an avid art lover and received tremendous joy and comfort from her own collection as well as visiting galleries in person or online. Since September 2018, Laura lived life with her dear caring companion, Gizmo and from 2006 to early 2018, her dear sweet and loyal, Atticus Finch Noble.
Laura wished to express her heartfelt gratitude and love to her loving and caring friends: Irene, Sue, Jenifer, Dell-Anne and Dale, Geneviève and several other close friends who supported and guided her. A special thank you to her many BPW Canada sisters. Words can never express her deepfelt appreciation.
As per Laura’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Ontario Brain Injury Association, the Dale Brain injury Services or Women’s W.O.R.K. I am so sorry to hear that Laura has passed away. I grew up next door to Laura when we were kids. Laura babysat me and my two younger sister’s, Cherie and Niki for a couple of summers. Those were some fun summers we had with Laura. She was more then just a sitter to me, she was kind of like a big sister. I remember going over to her house and hanging out in her room listening to records. One time I brought my tape recorder over and she helped me record some songs off her records. I remember thinking she was pretty cool for helping me with that. Laura wherever your soul has gone I hope you’re at peace. Sandy Carter
Laura and I met in an evening English class at Western. We sat together from week one and would get together weekly outside of class to watch Remington Steele, drink tea and wine, and eat cheesecake from Sebastians. We both adored Jane Austen, Bjorn Borg and Stefan Edberg. She loved Bruce Springsteen and the Grammy awards. I left London after Western but tried to visit Laura whenever I was home. I can’t believe she won’t be there the next time I’m able to come home. I hope that heaven has sweet Atticus, good tea, and well-loved novels. I’ll miss you x
I was checking my BPW emails but there were sadly no new ones - and then I remembered. Laura, your absence in my life and those of your BPW sisters is immeasurable. I will always remember our road trips, our fun lunches, our sharing of pictures, your wise counsel, your amazing wordsmithing and all those ideas for the invites. But most of all I will miss you. All my love, my dear friend, Norma
Laura Noble has been a great friend and mentor to me since 2014, when I joined the BPW Ontario Board as a rookie secretary. She generously shared her knowledge, wisdom, and friendship. She was a true lynchpin, working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that things ran smoothly at the local, provincial, and national levels. She will be missed terribly by her BPW sisters across Canada and beyond. RIP dear friend. xoxo
My deepest sympathies to Laura’s family and friends. Laura and I shared some of the same taste in art and over the years would appreciate each other’s taste in art. A tragic loss, a great lady and an incredibly talented woman.
My most sincere condolences to Laura's family and friends. I feel that a very bright light has been extinguished. I enjoyed getting to know Laura through our mutual involvement in BPW. She had an amazing work ethic and was always on hand to help answer a question or sort out a problem. But it was her kind heart, her wonderful sense of humour, and her warm spirit that really brightened everyone's day. A short life, but one beautifully lived. I'll miss you! Anne Finlay
Laura will be missed by so many. I was privileged to know her. RIP my friend.
I want to send my heartfelt condolences to Laura’s family and friends. I was employed by Laura for the past few years to walk her dear companion Gizmo; aside from the two times I needed to shut down because of the pandemic, we saw each other three times a week, every week, since just after Gizmo came into her life. I liked Laura immediately when we met and that feeling only increased the longer I knew her. What a truly special woman! Like everyone else who knew Laura, I was heartbroken to learn of her passing.. it still doesn’t seem real. Our interactions were brief but she made a huge impact on me with her kindness, her sense of humour, and her deep love for animals (most especially Gizmo and her dear Atticus, who I never met but learned much about). I guess I just wanted her family and friends to know that she is deeply missed, even by many of us who knew her more casually! A donation in her name has been made to Dale Brain Injury Services - much love to everyone during this time when we are all missing Laura so much. May her memory be a blessing ✨

I have turned to Laura for guidance and support so many times since BPW Ottawa was formed in 2012. She always made time for me and responded graciously. In the process, we became friends. It saddens me that I will never get to know Laura as well as many who know her better. I will miss Laura dearly as, I am certain, our BPW sisters across Canada will also. Sincere condolences for her loved ones. Rest in peace dear Laura.
