Kenric “Ken” Charlton

CHARLTON, Kenric “Ken” – After struggling with several illnesses, Ken Charlton, formerly of Chatham and Northern Bruce Peninsula, passed away at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia, on Monday, February 14, 2022, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Gloria for 25 years. Loving father of Kenric D. Charlton of Petrolia. Adored grandfather of Kendra, Kaylie, Kylie, Kenric, and Jessie. Dear brother of Allan (Carol) Charlton, and Maureen (Jack) Newman. Also loved by his step-son Sean (Shawna) James, their children, their grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Kenric and Marjorie (Hoskins) Charlton, his sister Sharon (John) Manax, and his brother Dick Charlton.
Ken was employed at Union Gas for 37 years starting in the Meter Department and through training and education (UWO) retired as Manager, Benefits. He was an Officer in the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment Army Reserves and a proud member of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. There will be a scattering service at Christ Church Memorial Scattering Gardens in Lion’s Head this summer. Gloria - my sincere condolences on the passing of Ken. I worked for Ken for many years in Benefits and I have lots of fun memories of those good old days. He was a wealth of knowledge and also had such a great sense of humour. He will be missed by all who knew him. Take care Gloria.
