On behalf of the Hunt family, I (Carol Anne) send condolences to the Johnson family. During the years that my husband, Ron Hunt, was minister at Dundas Centre we enjoyed the friendship of the Johnson family. Kathy (and Al) were always so welcoming at their home and farm next door. The children loved swimming in the pool, watching the sheep and lambs, and trudging to the bush to see the maple syrup setup. No matter how busy Kathy was hosting many guests, she always had a smile and gentle laugh. Even after we moved away from London, there were many visits back to see Kathy. She will always have a special place in our memories. --The Hunt family
Linda and I would like to pass on our deepest condolences to the entire Johnson family. Ohh the memories this has stirred in me (Greg) personally. When Paul , Doug and I were very young Kathy was like a second mother to me. Our parents Ruth and Gerry were great friends and travelling companions with Kathy and Al,,, so many stories come to mind, swimming in the Pool at the house, putting my arm thru the rear glass screen door, while fighting over dinky toys in the sand box. Kathy bandaged me up from my wrist to my elbow. Making maple syrup in the bush, chasing Suckers down Medway creek at Franks farm. Memories of the smell and taste of the best butter tarts in the London countryside. One story, I can’t remember whose tent but they were together on a trip down the Trent Severen waterway a lantern fell inside the tent and it caught fire. Four Square dancing and camping art Elora. The basement hobo parties. I was blessed to have both Kathy and Al in my life. Unfortunately we are currently out of Country and will be unable to attend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Greg and Linda
We were saddened to hear of Kathryn's passing. What a wonderful, kind and generous woman she was. My parents so enjoyed spending time with her and Al. Sending our sincere condolences. Keith & Margo (Robson) Collver

I have known Kathy for over eighty years. She was always more like a sister to me than a sister in law. We had many meals together at home with our family and these were always pleasant and happy times. She and my sister Louise became very close and they enjoyed lots of fun times together. Although it took a LONG time, I finally did forgive her for backing her Dads car into my first bicycle. She was one of the most kind and generous persons I’ve ever known and I’ll miss her a great deal.
