John Peter Mulvey

With family by his side, at London, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, John, husband of Margaret for 61 years. Loving father of Kelly and Sarah (Brian). He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen in Montreal, and predeceased by brothers Patrick and Michael, and parents John Francis and Elizabeth. He is brother-in-law to Betty Mulvey in Victoria, BC. John was loved by everyone he met. A kind and gentle man, John loved running, nature, and building all kinds of creations out of wood with his hands. One of his great accomplishments was his recognized long-standing contribution to the yearly Terry Fox Run in London. John’s love of bike riding could be witnessed by the many hand-made bikes in his collection. He arrived from Ireland his 20’s, and worked in many milieux, including coal-mining in Ireland, on the DEW lines in the Canadian Army, as a nursing orderly in both Montreal and London, and a well-loved jack-of-all-trades at Parkwood Hospital in London. A graveside service will be conducted at St. Peter’s Cemetery, St. Margaret Garden, 806 Victoria Street, London, on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of JOHN are asked to consider a charity close to John and Margaret’s hearts – The Terry Fox Foundation.
