Gary Robert Smith
August 5, 1961 - August 28, 2021
On August 28, 2021, at the age of 60, Gary Robert Smith passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice London with family by his side. Gary leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 37 years, Marion, and their cherished children, Terrah and Nathan. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Ruth; his siblings, Ralph (Marianne), Murray (Maureen), Richard (Laura), David (Anne-Marie), and Dianne; Marion’s family; his extended family and many friends. He is predeceased by his father, Ken Smith.
A special thank you to Dr. David MacDonald, Dr. Megyesi, the 7th-floor staff at University Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospice London.
A public visitation will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Best Western Plus – Stoneridge Inn & Conference Center, 6675 Burtwistle Lane, London. A private memorial and celebration of life service will follow in the Rose Chapel from 12:30 p.m.to 1:30 p.m., followed by a luncheon. Due to Covid-19 regulations, registration is required to attend the memorial service and luncheon. Please email nathan.dinel.smith@gmail.com to register.

Marion,Terrah and Nathan , so sorry to hear about Gary’s passing. I remember him since grade school then reconnected when he started with W/H Smith Construction. He was so happy when you built your new home in London. I knew he was struggling with the sand point in the back yard, but had no idea his situation was as bad as it was.
