My sincere condolences to your family. I was saddened to hear of Dr. Vu's passing this past weekend at church. I had run into him at the grocery store early this summer and he had told me about his illness and asked me to pray for him. He told me how the boys were doing and he was so proud of their accomplishments. He was a humble man of great faith who loved his family. Julie
I am very saddened to hear of his passing. Dr. Vu was a wonderful caring doctor who always went the extra mile for his patients. He will be missed.
Dr. Vu's legacy its unforgettable, He was a good family doctor and all our family since we came to Canada 17 years ago. He was amazing and always put the patient care first. What a great example of God's selfless love, kind heart and care for the sick and in need. Dear Victoria, Michael, Gabriel, cocoa and the rest of the family may the Lord Jesus Christ give you the strength, love and peace during this difficult time. With our deepest sympathy, we pray that you all will find comfort in God's peace and stillness in His love. in your time of sorrow, may you know God's peace and seek His comforting Grace. May you know Jesus's love surrounding you this day in the stillness of His presence. 1 Peter 5:7 - " In your time of sorrow, know that God is there, He will hold you in his arms And wipe away your tears He understands your pain; He feels the grief you feel Just give to Him your broken heart, For He, in time, Will heal. by ms Lowndes"
Victoria, Michael and Gabriel - I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your husband/father. Dr. Vu and I spoke often at St. Thomas More about faith, the boys, their sports and their school interests. He was a very faith-filled man who shared his faith and passion for life with all those he encountered. May he continue to look over you from above, as he rests in eternal peace. My deepest condolences.
Dear Victoria, Michael and Gabriel, The world has lost a bright light. My first meeting with Dr. Vu was when I was entering the community of St. Thomas More Catholic School as principal. Outside the school I saw this man kneeling and praying so fervently that he did not seem to notice my presence. I waited until he finished and then he greeted me in such a warm and welcoming way that any anxiety about entering a new community was dissipated. I have many wonderful memories of Dr. Vu but the one that I believe epitomizes his grace and faith was when my husband had a heart attack and was hospitalized. The next day, I made the address to the grade eight graduating class and apologized for my quick departure. When our children and I arrived at the hospital Dr. Vu was there to meet us. I cannot articulate the comfort that this offered. But as I learned over the years, Dr. Vu was a man of faith and servitude and such actions were part of his ministry. He will be missed but not forgotten. Mary Lynn Hamzo
Wayne was a medical student when I first met him, and I have never forgotten his enthusiasm and cheerfulness. My condolences to his family
Victoria, Michael and Gabriel. Our family was so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. The memories of Dr. Vu from our time at St Thomas More are forever in our minds and hearts. At the visitation, his brother said that he always had a big smile and that is something we all remember. A memory we often share in our home relates to when he was watching Dylan and Michael play sports at schools. The first time we remember him getting so upset at a bad call from a ref, we were shocked. This was not the happy, serene man we all knew. But then we realized, it was. He was so passionate about life and called out injustice when he saw it. He worked hard to right the wrongs. What a great legacy for a man who went home to God too early. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Erich, Jacqui, Dylan, and Meghan Specht

My family and I will forever remember you: a fiend, a brother, and a doctor whom cared about us. Not just about our health, but also about our daily life, and spiritual life. You simple didn't preach about it, but set example. I would treasure our discussions for the rest of my life. Someday, we will meet again. God be with you!
