Donald De Guzman

Donald De Guzman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away on February 17^th, 2025 at the age of 59. Born to Nepomocena and Enrique De Guzman, who reside in the Philippines, Donald was a devoted son whose love and respect for his parents never wavered.

He shared a deep bond with his brothers, Clifford and the late Erwin De Guzman, cherishing their time together and the memories they built. Donald was the loving husband of Veronica De Guzman, with whom he built a life full of love, challenges, and triumphs. Together, they raised three children: Cecile Asuncion (Lester Asuncion), Mary Grace Alward (David Alward), and Dominick De Guzman (Michelle De Guzman).

As a father, he was fiercely protective, endlessly supportive, and always ready with wisdom, often delivered with humour and a stubborn determination to ensure his children learned the best lessons life had to offer. His role as a grandfather was one of his greatest joys, bringing out his playful and nurturing side.

Though life presented Donald with significant obstacles, he overcame them with resilience and faith, finding strength through the grace of God. Those who knew him well will remember him as an overthinker, sometimes stubborn, but also as someone who was deeply generous, kind, and personable. He had an undeniable presence, his humour, his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved made him unforgettable.

Donald’s legacy is one of perseverance, love, and laughter. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Donald will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. He is now at peace with the Lord and will be reunited with those he has longed to see again.

Visitation will be held at Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
