After a lengthy and courageous battle, Denise passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside. Denise of London succumbed by her disease (leukodystrophy) far too early in her life. Her humour and love will certainly be missed. Beloved wife of the late Murray Snelgrove. Loving daughter of Janice King and Ted King (Ruth King). Dear sister of Crista Taylor (Rick) of Texas. Also loved by her nephew Luke Taylor. Cremation has taken place. A gathering to share memories of Denise’s life will be facilitated at Northview Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Monday, September 18, 2023 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Things I remember about Denise, She was tough as nails, she fought to keep her boat afloat her whole life. Denise was sweet, kind, funny and a wonderful friend. She was always making up songs at work, her songs about breakfast at Tim’s were some of her best. She liked to go to Starbucks. One day I took her to the one at Indigo’s and was being a goofy and told the lady my name was Rachael instead of Cheryl. So the drink comes and they call the name three or four times. So I comment to Denise how dense can someone be to not recognize their own name. She looked at me and said, “Ummmm, that’s your drink!” Then we look at each other and started laughing hysterically. Denise had a pure soul. The innocence and wonder of a child. She loved to colour, read, watch movies or just have a nice chat. She owned lots of things that were “too good”. Meaning she couldn’t use them because they were too good to use. She fought battles that would have crushed most of us but she kept coming back. Most importantly, Denise was a warrior. Doodlebug, you are missed, now and for always. With all the love in my heart, Cheryl May your loving soul be forever at peace
