Suddenly, in London, on Friday, May 20, 2022, Calvin Laverne (Cal) Evans, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus, in his 87th year. Loving husband of Kathleen, cherished father of Kim Evans, Shelley Rivard (Brad Needham) and Janet Evans, all of London. Cal is predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Kathleen Evans (1980); his parents: Bert Evans and Louella Evans; and his siblings: Joyce, Gerald, Audrey, Eldon, and Madaline. He is also survived by Kathy’s children: Peter Marks, Jennifer (Terry) Wilson, Angela Hunter, and Stephen Marks. Devoted “Papa Cal” to grandchildren: Brandon (Lacey) Field, Darren (Melissa) Field, Ben (Jaycee) Field, Melissa Field (Marcello), Brian (Jaclyn) Marks, Jordan (Emina) Hunter, Josh (Autumn) Hunter, Patricia Marks, Hannah Marks, and Liam Wilson; as well as great-grandchildren: Cadence, Addison, Connor, Leo, Ellie, Brooks, Hailey, and Benjamin. Cal is also survived by his sister Noreen Healey, and his brothers Glen Evans and Clare Evans, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodstock Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Cal are asked to consider Effect Hope or the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario.
