Peacefully in London, Ontario, surrounded by family and friends after many years of ill health. Predeceased by husband Gary Blake, dear mother of Mark (Debra), Barry (Corrine) and Julie Knox (Maurie Swan); grandmother of Stephanie Gerono (Daniel), Hunter and Dylan Knox, great-grandmother of Willow; sister of Kit Younghusband (Wayne), stepmother of David (Diane) and Lyle (Debbie) Blake; as well as aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Ginger is thankful for the caring support of special brother-in-law, the late Glen Blake, her wonderful palliative care team, and the doctors and nurses at the Thursday Clinic 4th floor at University Hospital, London, Ontario.
In keeping with Ginger’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa, Ontario.
Ginger, I will never forget when I met you and I asked how old you were! I was amazed when you told me 81 way back when. I loved playing Trivial Pursuit because you were the smartest person at the table. You were a great partner for Grandpa and a wonderful addition to the family. Also, your cooking was always the best! My deepest condolences to your family, I know you will be deeply missed.
