Anthony Michael “Mike” May

June 24, 1964 - September 4, 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Michael “Mike” May announces his passing.

He left us heartbroken and proud on Wednesday September 4, 2024, at University Hospital in London, Ontario, at the age of 60 years old.

He was surrounded by the love of his life Melanie Walters; children Chelsea Cadogan, Justin Walters-Stutt (Jaclyn Carbone), and his brothers Tom and Jeff (Debbie). He also leaves behind his son Aaron, his grand-daughter Lily Walters-Stutt, his siblings Timothy (Carol) of Michigan and Teri Jeffrey of Florida, and many nieces and nephews, including Tony and Lorena Svitnich of Michigan.

In his final act of bravery, he was an organ donor and participated in a study to improve the organ donation and viability process. Our sincere thanks to the Critical Care teams at Victoria Hospital and University Hospital for their compassionate care.

Mike was pre-deceased by his parents Edsel and Wanda May (née Elsby), who met him in eternity, likely with a vodka and diet iced tea.

Mike had spent his entire working life installing flooring in Kitchener-Waterloo, London, and all over Southwestern Ontario.  It was his passion and he was a craftsman.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a date to be determined.

The family asks that donations be made in Mike’s memory to Diabetes Canada.

He will be deeply missed, but his memories will continue in those he left behind.
