With hearts full of love and gratitude, the family of Amy Julia Osborne announces her peaceful passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 90.
Amy was the beloved wife of the late Wilbur Osborne (1999), whom she adored for 43 wonderful years. Their love story was unforgettable – he, tall and handsome like a movie star, and she, radiant with joy and compassion. Now, after many years apart, they are together again.
Amy was the embodiment of kindness and optimism. She lived her life with a “glass half full” spirit, always lifting those around her. A breast cancer survivor of 19 years, she faced every challenge with quiet strength and resilience. Her compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Born to Alfredo Anderson and Philip James “Jim” Letto, Amy devoted her life to her family. She was a loving mother to Rachel Kifir (the late Aaron, 2023), Margaret Osborne, and Ian Osborne. Amy shared a deep and unbreakable bond with her daughter, Lynda Letto. She lived with Lynda for 25 years and was care for her with extraordinary devotion in final three years. Sadly, missed by her devoted daughter Lynda Letto (Robert Rumsey).
Amy found joy in the simple wonders of life – especially animal documentaries, with a special fondness for wolves and birds. Her gentle love for nature reflected the way she moved from the world: with curiosity, softness and admiration.
She often inspired other to say “I wish I had a mother like yours.” Her kindness generosity, and genuine care with live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Amy’s life was one of grace, strength, and unwavering love – a legacy that will continue to warm the hearts of her grandchildren, Ian Letto, Dylan Letto, and Aimee Simms (Scott), and her adored great grandchildren, Wren Simms and Rhett Simms the generations to come.
Cremation has taken place.
