Alyce Grace Mackintosh
May 10, 2024
Today, May 10, 2024, we celebrate the life of Alyce Grace Mackintosh of 77 years. Alyce passed peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of her home. Alyce was a loving wife to Gordon Mackintosh of 57 years. A supportive mother to Grace Mackintosh-Lepage (Guy Lepage), Betty Bell (Bill), Paula Edgar (Randy), Dawn Mackintosh, and Will Mackintosh (Sarah Mellick). A grandmother to Scott Mackintosh, Jessica Mackintosh, Matthew Bell, Nathan Bell, Malcolm Edgar, Ryder Brown and Josephine Mackintosh. Alyce was actively involved within her community. She devoted her life to raising her five children and further undertook the role of a foster parent. Moreover, Alyce identified a need at her children’s elementary school and co-established the Home and School Council. Additionally, Alyce was a past Grand Counsellor for the United Commercial Travelers (UCT) whereby the charity supported various, diverse individuals in need. Alyce’s passions included reading, country music, and dogs. Many know Alyce for her selflessness, empathy, and acceptance. Alyce was a spirited fighter to the very end. We will forever cherish our memories with Mum. As per Alyce’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. An intimate celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Alyce was a good women. A wonderful partner for Gord and mother and grandmother to the families. My condolences.
Mommy Mac was my rock when I lost my dad years ago, her guidances and words I will never forget. Prior to that I knew her as a great mom and someone who could make me laugh and smile just looking at her made me smile. She had an infectious smile, She was a wonderful person. God received a wonderful person today.
I wish to express my sincere condolences. The Bible gives the comforting hope that your loved one will come to life again on a beautiful earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4.
