Brenda Lynne Page

February 19, 1944 - March 24, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Page (nee Sykes) on March 24th, 2025.

Brenda was predeceased by her loving husband Wayne (2022), her parents Leonard and Evelyn Sykes and her dear brother, Ted. She is lovingly remembered by her children Susan Weckstrom (Steve), Catherine Bethel (Andy), and her stepchildren Brenda Rennie (Bruce) and Barbara Jones (Ian). Cherished Grandma to Megan, Carter and Kyle Bethel, Charlotte Jones-Hall (Rob), Joshua Jones, and Nicholas Rennie (Jolena).

Brenda led an adventurous life, embracing every opportunity for new experiences—from backpacking across Europe to sailing the Intracoastal Waterway from Virginia to Trinidad. A talented figure skater in her youth, she also loved water sports and cherished summers spent on the water in Muskoka. Brenda was a sports enthusiast, and she took great joy in watching everything from curling and figure skating to basketball and golf, on her large screen tv.

As a devoted grandma, Brenda instilled a love of travel and exploration in Megan, Carter, and Kyle. Together, they created countless memories while traveling the world, experiences they will hold dear forever.

Nothing meant more to Brenda than her family, close friends and home church family. Her faith in God sustained her through many challenges, including her battle with stage four cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her legacy of love, faith, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation and memorial for Brenda will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London, Ontario. Cremation has taken place.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Windermere on the Mount Retirement Home for their exceptional care and support. In memory of Brenda, the family welcomes notes or flowers, which may be sent to Northview Funeral Chapel. Alternatively, donations to Parkinson Canada or the Wayne and Brenda Page Endowment Fund would be deeply appreciated (details below).

Wayne and Brenda Page Fund

The word community can be defined as: to feel fellowship with others by caring and sharing.

Wayne and Brenda were convinced that people flourish when they are cared for in and by the local community – spiritually, practically, physically and emotionally. This endowment fund was created to continue to give back to the London community Wayne and Brenda lived in and loved. It supports local organizations providing a wide spectrum of care to people in the London area. Wayne and Brenda’s extended families are comforted and encouraged that this endowment fund will allow their legacy to live on forever.

we are saddened to hear of Brenda's passing, but in our hearts, we know that she is with Wayne. We met Wayne and Brenda when they lived in Riverbend. We remember their wedding day and how happy they were together. Sandy & Barry Matthews / West Blooms Flowers

Dear Cathy and Sue, I'm thinking of both of you, and all of our adventures in Mississauga. Our moms were always central to our Battlestar Galactica re-enactments, and the plays and dances we put on. I remember your mom so fondly over sleepovers, snacks, and smiles, while we all ran in and out of your house all day in the summer. Yells down the street to be home 'by the time the lights come on', reminders to be kind to the little kids..... This feels like the end of an era. We're thinking of you all. I hope your memories make you smile and warm you. Love, Lelia Watamaniuk

Your mom. She was energy and fun for us kids. She always had stuff for us to do and all the kids were always welcome at your place. I have so many fond memories of sleep overs, movies, backyard shenanigans. She always encouraged us to play and have fun. She will be remembered by me fondly, always. Sending you all hugs and deepest condolences.
