Gloria L. Williams
November 30, 2024
Gloria was born in Windsor, Ontario on December 5th, 1928, the only child of William Higgins and Helen Anderson. She left us on Saturday, November 30th, 2024.
Married to the late Harold R. Williams for 53 years, she was the mother of Jan Williams-Hunter (Allan), Russell (Gail) and the late Kathleen Fleet (David). Gloria was a graduate of the nursing program at Grace Hospital, Windsor, Ontario. She was the proud grandmother to eleven and great-grandmother to eighteen.
Gloria went wherever Harold’s career took the family: London, Clarkson and Montreal, finally settling in Oakville where she lived for more than 35 years. She spent her final years in London, Ontario, where she received excellent support and care from Jan and the staff at peopleCare Oakcrossing Long Term Care.
Always eager to embrace life, she enjoyed travelling, arts and crafts, helping family members and cultivating lifelong friendships. The last several years were difficult, as declining health made it difficult to keep up with friends and family.
Funeral arrangements are private. Gloria will be buried alongside Harold in Oakville at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners would be greatly appreciated.

Grandma, You passed on a legacy of caring and I was proud to be third generation Nurse. I will cherish my memories forever. You always greeted us with the biggest smile and warmest hug. As a little girl I remember fondly painting ceramics together, feeding the ducks l, playing in your backyard and basement … and as a university student, going to Stars on Ice or restaurant hopping with you and Grandpa to find the best Asian food. Even though the last part was hard, our connection never wavered. I will always love you, Lor
