Brenda Garnett (née Stubley) born on December 31st, 1939 in Baildon, West Yorkshire, England passed away on the morning of May 30, 2024, aged 84 years. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Donald, of 61 years. Loving mother of Richard (Frances) and Mark (Patti). Grandmother to Ryan (Gloria), Alyssa (Collin), Leon, and Alex and great-grandmother to Eloise. Daughter of Jack and Annie. Sister to Lilian, Barbara, Myra, Keith, Grace. Special aunt to Lynda-Jane. Brenda will be remembered by countless friends and other loved ones.
Brenda grew up and met the love of her life in England. Together they raised their two sons in South Africa. They returned to the UK, to spend time with family there, before moving to Canada in 1996. Brenda had a deep appreciation for literature, enjoyed watching sports and being part of family get-togethers. She would not miss an opportunity to sing or dance to one of her favourite songs. She will be lovingly remembered by everyone for her witty sense of humour.
A service for family and friends will be held at Northview Funeral Chapel, 1490 Highbury Avenue North, London on Wednesday, June 19th at 12:00 p.m. with speeches delivered at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in her memory are asked to consider the Salvation Army London Village or London Health Sciences Foundation.
