Dario Elio Cucinelli
October 5, 2023
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in his 87th year after a brief stay at Parkwood Hospital on the Palliative Unit. He was surrounded by his loving wife and his 3 daughters. Dario will be dearly missed by his wife Dolcie of 57 years and his daughters Diane (Dean) Leschied, Judy (Derek) Lall and Jenny (John) Holland. Dear Nonno to his grandchildren Mitchell, Cameron, Andrew, Travis Leschied, Kendra and Erica Lall, Vanessa and Mason Holland and to his great grandchildren Iyla, Callum, Bella and Jackson Leschied. Dear brother to Eliseo, Bettina, Luigi and Ezio. Predeceased by his siblings Domenica, Pietro, Maria, Angelo, Tonino and Raffaela. He loved his 8 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. He courageously fought Parkinson’s for 4 years with a recent diagnosis of a brain tumor. Born into a large family, the 3rd youngest of 11 siblings. He was a hard-working tile setter that immigrated to Canada from Italy 65 years ago. He lived a simple life; loved gardening, long walks, spending time with his family and friends and was an avid soccer player. Dario had a deep love for God.

So sorry for your loss. We’re thinking of the entire family at this difficult time and sending love. Michele, Steve and girls
I love the Cuccinelli family, have such fond memories of each of them, and the fortune of continued contact with Dean and Diane Leschied. I remember Dario as a strong and gentle man, with a humble wisdom. I wept when I heard the news, not for Dario, but for my own sense of loss. I had not seen Dario in over 20 years, and yet, his impact on my life remains.
Dear Diane, Dean and family, Our heartfelt condolences to you with Dario's passing. God give you the comfort of His Spirit in your time of grief.
Our deepest condolences to your family forever blessed with his caring and loving nature. A Canoe trip with Dario and son-in-law Dean whilst in his late 60's is one of my fondest memories of a robust yet gentle soul.
Caro zio Dario, thank you for your constant affection. Care zia Dolcie, Jenny, Judy, and Diana, may her memory, strength, and serenity always be with you.
We have had the pleasure of spending much time with Dario in the past. Travelling, skiing, sharing our love of Christ and Dario taught Winston how to tile and even came to Thunder Bay to do some tiling for us! We will miss him but know that he is in the arms of our Heavenly Father and we will see him again
Our families have been friends for many years and we offer our support in your time of loss. Dario was a man of quiet Godly wisdom with a heart for the troubled and in need. I can't help but think Dario ,my father and a few others have found a snooker table in a corner of heaven somewhere .
Dolcie, Diane, Judy and Jenny and family, our most sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved Dario. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ivana and family.
I send my sincere condolences during this time of sorrow. The Bible promises that your loved one will live again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more. (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:4)
Our condolences to Dolcie, Diane, Judy and Jenny. We have many fond memories of Dario and all of you from our many years at Glen Cairn Baptist Church. May God be a comfort to you during the next few months as you adjust to life without Dario. With love and prayers.
Dario was a valued member of our interdenominational men's Bible study on Wednesday mornings for many years. We appreciated his gentle spirit and whenever he spoke we were sure to listen. Our prayers are with his dear family whom we know he loved dearly.
